If your kids’ imaginations need jumpstarting, this is for them. Also, you’ll want to build all the cardboard things after reading it so start gathering now.
With some books it’s love at first sight or, um, read. I liked this one right off and read it to every group of kids I visited and it was always a hit. Plus, it works narrative skills by giving kids the chance to tell the traditional Goldilocks story.
Love Cabrera’s style and this book showcases it perfectly. Great readaloud or singaloud as it were, some visual elements to discuss with young readers and it’s just plain adorable!
These are oldies but goodies. Tried and true, kid-tested readaloud classics. I’ve read them to hundreds of children and they have never failed to win over even the squirmiest bunch of kids.
